French restaurant best in the world in 2019

Mirazur , owned by Argentinean master chef Mauro Colagreco in Menton, France , was named the best restaurant in the world in 2019 by the influential UK publisher “Restaurant”.

In the last year’s edition of this top, Mirazur, a renowned restaurant for salads such as caviar salted, was in third place. This is the first time since the rankings launch when the first position is occupied by a French restaurant. Colagreco is also the only foreign chef in France who owns three Michelin stars , according to Eater. The podium was completed this year by Noma, Copenhagen, Denmark, owned by Rene Redzepi , and Asador Etxebarri, whose master chef is Victor Arguinzoniz of Atxondo, Spain . Last year, this title was won by Osteria Francescana, the site in Modena owned by Italian master chef Massimo Bottura.

This year, Restaurant magazine organized the 50 Best Restaurants gala in Singapore.

Restaurant magazine launched this top in 2002, and its awards have become as coveted in the field as Michelin stars, although the methodology for selecting venues is not very clear, because of criticism.

The top is based on reviews from more than 1,000 masters chefs, restaurant chiefs, culinary critics, and other industry representatives under the protection of anonymity.
